I was inspired by Elie Weisel because he has been through such a strong event in history and he still is brave enough to come to the world and talk about such a personal time in his life. What saddened me was when his father was getting abused and all he wanted was for Elie to come to him but he just turned his back and tried to ignore his father. Also because the last words of his father were him crying out his sons name. It saddened me because I felt so bad and if I was in that position I would go running to him and spend what ever time I have with them. I couldn't understand him very clearly but one of the phrases he was talking about was "still having his faith". even though this tragic event may have confused him about his faith, he comes back saying "I considered my faith being gone, but I then realize it never left."
